Since 1987, La Tomate has been Dupont Circle’s neighborhood bistro featuring regional Italian cuisine complimented by friendly service and warm ambiance. Our bistro menu is characterized by fresh, simple, but flavorful ingredients – the essence of Italian cuisine. We serve local and and naturally raised products whenever possible, and favor no frills recipes that boast flavorful sophistication.

Our prosciutto bar offers a connoisseur selection of Italian and domestic salumi, olives, and cheeses.

La Tomate proudly inaugurated La Tomate Caffé adjacent to its current Bistro – the first of many changes the restaurant will implement in the coming years.
